Brian Muindi, FCIArb, is a Partner and Head of the Corporate and Commercial Practice at TripleOKLaw Advocates LLP, an award-winning law firm recognised as the leading legal adviser for REITs in Kenya. Brian has represented and continues to advise 3/4s of the authorised REITs in the country, including in many “first-of-their-kind” transactions. He is widely recognised for his expertise in capital markets, structured finance, and real estate investment platforms in Kenya and across the wider East African region. His work on the country's first Infrastructure Asset-Backed Security opened new avenues for funding large-scale infrastructure through capital markets, demonstrating how regulated structures can mobilise long-term domestic financing for national development priorities.

Brain has also contributed to advancing Kenya's REIT framework, particularly in expanding access to institutional-grade real estate for a broader range of investors. This includes his involvement in developing regulated retail investment platforms that allow ordinary Kenyans to participate in income-generating property assets, previously accessible only to large institutional players. Brian advises banks, asset managers, developers, and institutional investors on complex transactions involving banking, capital markets, corporate structuring and reorganisations. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in both the United Kingdom and Kenya branches, he also brings experience in commercial arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
